To: Freedom Striders, Hampton Blazers, Speed City Chargers, Norfolk Real Deal, Suffolk
Stars, Track 757, VA Beach Pathfinders, Central Virginia Track and Field Club .
Enclosed is your share of $9,000.00 provided by the Atlantic Coast Track League to help with expenses to the National Age Group Track and Field Championships.
To be eligible for funding athletes must :
*finish in the top four in each individual event and relay at any of the following competitions.
AAU regional Championships
AAU Club national Championships
USATF Regional Championships
*Participate in the USATF or AAU national championship events.
There were a total of 219 qualifiers from eight league teams that competed in the above events. The formula for determining how much each team receives is as follows: The total ($9,000.00) was divided by the number of qualifiers (219) and a “per athlete” amount was determined. In this case the amount is $41.10 per qualifier.
