    July 12-15 - Regional USATF Meet Marietta, GA
    July 20-22 - East Coast Inv. Durham, NC
    July 26-29 - USATF Jr. Olympics Sacramental, CA
    July 30-August 4 - AAU Jr. Olympics Norfolk, VA


  2. We will not have a Middle School Meet this year.

  3. The State USATF meet is now two days. Youth Chair, Dwight Porter is asking for 100% participation regardless of whether you plan to go to the Regional Meet.

  4. We helped certify 38 USATF officials at our certification clinic. You should be receiving your certification credentials within the next week. Anyone interested in officiating any events, please contact the League Office.

  5. 2001 adidas/USATF "Pursuit of Excellence" Travel Assistance Grants will be available. Last year, over 200 USATF member clubs submitted applications for the 10 available ($1,000 each) grants. Applications must be in Mark Springer's (Director of Grass Roots Programs & Planning) office By May 1. For more info, email Mark at Mark.Springer@usatf.org or contact the League Office. NOTE: 20 grants will be available this year.

  6. Please look at our Alumni page on our website. Inform us of any additions or changes. NOTE: Alumni page will be added on April 16.

  7. Unofficial Minutes of the VA USATF annual meeting held February 25:

    - Jim Holdren, Virginia USATF President, presided the meeting.
    - Administrative business including Treasurer's Report
    - VA by-laws and constitution are currently being rewritten by the Chairs.
    - Yearly Calendar was discussed.
    - We need to have more delegates at the USATF annual meetings; Each delegate gets reimbursed $200.
    - Ways to raise money for VA USATF was discussed.
    - VA USATF will have a newsletter. Email Greg Ashley at ialtcvp@aol.com for info.
    - Dwight Porter, Youth Chair, said that the USATF Cross Country Meet will be held separate from AAU this year.
    - Getting all of the offices, including Vice President, filled for our association was discussed.
    - There will be a meeting in September where we will vote in the Vice President.
    - Meeting was adjourned without asking for an officials report or Youth Report.
