  1. Congratulations on another outstanding summer. Our league had a few National Champions and several other outstanding performances this season. However, most of all, the number of participants increased from last year. Also, great job, Coaches for having your athletes properly prepared and for running a first class program.

  2. Please take your time and fill out the season summary form. We need this information for our overall league summary. Please fax or mail to the league office at before September 15. Thank you for your cooperation.

  3. Please try to attend the Virginia USATF annual meeting that will be held in Richmond on Sunday, September 9 at 2:00. The meeting place has changed to the Midtown Inn, 3200 West Broad Street (two blocks from the Richmond USATF office). The Virginia bylaws will be updated and we need to hear your input before these laws are approved. This will take place at this meeting and it is imperative that you or a representative from your club are present.

  4. The Virginia 2001 USATF Cross Country meet will be held on Sunday, November 11 at 11:00 at Newport News Park. More information will be available in the next Newsletter.

  5. The Virginia Association will be hosting next year's USATF Region III Meet. The meet will be held from July 11 - 14 and our league will have a big role in this meet. More information will be available at a later date.

  6. If you have any input for the newsletter, please contact the League Office.

  7. As previously mentioned in the first volume, September/October, Nov/Dec, etc. will be combined into one Newsletter. Again, please get the summary forms back to the league office prior to September 15.
