  1. Please read the enclosed application and complete it, if you are interested in applying for a USATF Youth Travel Grant. The deadline is April 15.

  2. Several League teams - Del 5 (May 7), Norfolk Real Deal (May 14), & Richmond Comets (May 28) will be hosting meets. Please support them.

  3. Contact the League Office if you did not receive a 2005 Schedule.

  4. Highlights from the USATF Annual Meeting -
  5. Highlights from the AAU Annual Meeting - " There is now a new age division - Sub Youth - for athletes 13 and under. " The "Association" meet name has been changed to "District" Championship. " The District Championship will be held on June 11 & 12 at Darling Stadium. Entries will again be done online @ www.directathletics.com, and the fee is $13. The top six will advance to the Regional, which will also be held at Darling Stadium on July 1 & 2. Multi events will be held on June 29 & 30. " The 2006 AAU Junior Olympics will be held in Norfolk, and the top 4 from the District will qualify (You will not have to go to Regionals in 2006)

  6. One of our League teams - NORFOLK REAL DEAL - was selected as an Elite Development Club. "Real Deal" is one of only 30 clubs in the country to receive this designation.
