1. Good job to everyone for making the first half of our 2009 season a success.
   
   
2. The 11th Annual Atlantic Coast Invitational (Saturday, June 20) is less than a week away. Please ensure that all of your entries are in before the deadline, Tuesday night 11:59.
   
   
3. Each team is required to provide 3 volunteers for our meet. Call Coach Pugh @ 757-635-8284 or email him @ vapugh@yahoo.com w/ your names before Thursday 12noon.
   
   
4. For teams that competed in the AAU District meet, the Regional Meet has been moved to Lakeland HS in Suffolk, and is tentatively scheduled for July 1 thru 3. More information will be available soon.
   
   
5. The Cannonball Cooper Meet will be held on July 18 @ Henrico County HS in Richmond.
   
   
6. League Funding deadlines for qualifiers for the AAU (top 4 @ National Quailfier) is July 7 and the deadline for USATF (top 3 @ Regional meet) is July 15. This information must be sent to the League Office and must include:
   1) the person’s name
   2) age group
   3) event, and
   4) place in that event.
   
   
7. Long time League volunteer, Louis Moon passed away on June 7. Moon served as a coach, USATF National certified official, and mentor for Track and field in this area for the past 30 years.
