President's Message

ATLANTIC COAST TRACK LEAGUE
P.O. Box 1893
Norfolk, VA 23501

June 20, 2009

Welcome to our Eleventh annual Track and Field meet.

Thank you for participating.  We hope you have an enjoyable experience.  Thanks, also to the City of Suffolk and the Suffolk public school system for your continued cooperation and support.

Earlier this month, the league lost a devoted member.  Louis Moon passed away after a year long illness.  He was the ultimate volunteer coach who offered his services on the high school, club, and individual levels.  We will certainly miss him and dedicate this meet in his honor for excellent service rendered over the years.

The league wishes to show appreciation to our coaches, parents and athletes for their dedication in making “age group” track successful.  Keep up the good work and please take the time to educate your team about the dangers of drugs, gangs and illiteracy.

We are taking another step towards making “age group” track better in our state by offering a series of indoor track meets in 2010.  Please make plans to gear up for Indoor 2010 as we take age group track and field to another level in Virginia.  The Indoor series will consist of four track meets and will take place in the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA.  We will be sending out more specific information in the early fall of 2009.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Kermit,
President
